Khan Akmal is an experienced and highly qualified energy, chemicals and engineering consultant focused on strategic planning and development for corporate portfolios; project and business development; and operations and business planning. During his 40+ years of experience, he conceived, planned and scoped the development of numerous greenfield and brownfield value chains for oil, gas and NGL projects. He undertook a variety of midstream oil & gas related studies, particularly from infrastructure development perspective, including early infrastructure penetration, new transmission networks, expansion of distribution networks and alternative distribution mechanisms. He has led technical teams and participated in commercial and fiscal teams during negotiations with International Oil Companies for midstream developments. He has worked on unbundling the midstream gas business, proposing potential structure for the gas industry; contributing to, and developing gas regulations; as well as, establishing the principles to determine tariffs and handling fees for transportation, plant processing, and storage for gas, NGL and condensate.
